CHRIS WOODS

A MASSIVE signing, just like Terry Butcher, as he was England's goalkeeper at the time. Great reflexes and presence made him a formidable barrier and he set the British goalkeeping record in the early part of his Gers career.
Woods joined Rangers from Norwich City for £600,000 in June 1986 and soon established himself in Graeme Souness' new-look side.
Injury and illness meant he missed large chunks of season 88/9 and 89/90 but when fit he was near impenetrable in goal.
After five years he left for Sheffield Wednesday in 1991.
