Fairway To Heaven
THE TEAM from Freight Management were the kings of the course on Monday when they triumphed at the annual Rangers Corporate Golf Day.
They came in with a score of 82 points to pip Finco Contracts - who had Sandy Jardine in their team - by one point.
Just behind them in third place was Abbotshall Homes and John Greig helped them to 79 points.
Held at the prestigious new Carrick golf course, situated on the banks of Loch Lomond, the players enjoyed breathtaking views of Highlands and Lowlands.
The Carrick opened in June 2007 and has already earned great reviews from some of the worlds top golfers.
Twenty-four teams competed on the fairways of the Carrick to compete for some fantastic prizes, in association with Taylor Made Adidas Golf.
As well as prizes for the top three teams in the stableford competition there were also prizes for longest drive and nearest the pin and these were won by Graham Hillan of Interserve and former Gers striker Gordon Dalziel respectively.
A host of light blue legends took part and were included in each fourball to make up the teams such as Andy Goram, John Greig, Alex Rae, Dave McPherson.
TV presenter Dougie Donnelly and Chief Executive Martin Bain also attended, plus Manager Walter Smith and Assistant manager Ally McCoist.
