Dream Draw
LEVADIA TALLINN boss Tarmo Ruutli is keeping his fingers crossed that his team can progress to the third Champions League qualifying round and would love nothing more than to see his players come up against Walter Smith's stars.
The Light Blues still have a lot of work to do in order to beat FK Zeta next week while Tallinn have to turn around a 1-0 defecit to the Serbian Champions.
But this has not stopped Ruutli dreaming of a double-header with the Gers.
He said: "I would like it very much if we could meet Rangers in the next round but neither team is through at this moment and it will be very difficult for us.
"However, they are a very big club with a great history so to play them would be very nice."
Ruutli was the Estonian coach when they faced Scotland home and away during the World Cup qualifying stages for France 98 and he admits to having a great respect for Scottish football.
He said: "I know a lot about football in this country and that it is a very good standard.
"At this moment I do not know much about the Rangers team but if we both qualify I will have no problem getting more information.
"It will not be hard to do this as I know they are a very good team."
The Tallinn coach, who has also managed JK Viljandi Tulevik and FC Flora Tallinn, believes that Red Star could have found the net on more than one occasion in their first-leg tie in Belgrade and that this result gives his side a glimmer of hope for the return leg on August 8 in Estonia.
He said: "Our game against Red Star was tough as they are a better team and made a lot of opportunites. It is most likely that Rangers will face Red Star now if they can win against Zeta.
"It will be very hard fo us but we have to be hopeful as we are now at home."
