CHARLIE ADAM has warned his Rangers team-mates that St Mirren will give their all when the sides meet at Love Street this evening.

The rest of the SPL's bottom six sides signed off from league duty for the summer at the weekend but the Buddies still have a game to play tonight.

Charlie AdamAlthough they are consigned to either ninth or 10th place in the final table, Adam knows Saints will make life tough for the Ibrox outfit.

And he dismissed suggestions Gus MacPherson's men will have their holiday heads on when they appear for the rearranged game.

Rangers need to win in Paisley to maintain any realistic hopes they have of claiming their 52nd championship title.

Adam, who spent a season on loan at St Mirren two years ago, said: "We won't take it for granted we will win.

"At the same time, I know every player in the St Mirren dressing room won't take that for granted either.

"To beat Rangers would be a big thing for them before they go on holiday. We know it's going to be tough but we will be looking for the right result.

"St Mirren have done well this season. I've still got a lot of friends there and they will make it difficult, along with their manager.Charlie Adam

"But if we go there and approach the game right, I don't see why we shouldn't win the game."

The St Mirren match is the first of three games in six days for Gers in a hectic climax to the season.

Although they are underdogs in the league, a domestic treble is still a possibility with Saturday's Scottish Cup final against Queen of the South coming up too.

Adam added: "We will look forward to the games as they come. Although there will be a lot of pressure in these last three matches, we can handle it.

"We could still have a treble to look forward to if we win every game. Losing the UEFA Cup final to Zenit St Petersburg was disappointing last week but, as footballers, you forget about it.

"It's done now. We will reflect on it in the summer but there are three important games first and it could still be a wonderful season.

"The season is almost done now and these last games are our biggest of the season. If we win them all, it could be a fantastic campaign for us."
