WALTER SMITH has confirmed that his starting eleven for tomorrow's friendly against Raith will be close to the side that will take on Kaunas although he will make several changes to his team throughout the 90 minutes.

Kyle LaffertyWith Wednesday's crucial Champions League qualifying match against the Lithuanians only five days away the Gers' gaffer is looking for his side to hit top gear In Kirkcaldy.

Lee McCulloch is the only doubt for the trip to Starks Park due to a throat infection but, this aside, tomorrow's game will give an indication as to how his players are shaping up ahead of the club's massive double header with FBK.

Smith said: "Tomorrow's game gives us two things as it allows us to play a team that will be reasonably close to the one that faces Kaunas but we will also make a lot of changes so that everyone gets up to full match fitness.

"But it's an important friendly ahead of our home tie against Kaunas as we need to be ready for that one."

Recent signings Kyle Lafferty, Kenny Miller and Andrius Velicka are all expected to feature this weekend and Smith has been delighted with the way the attacking trio have integrated into his squad.

"They have settled in very well. Kyle had a back problem during our week in Holland which has put him back a week but he is available to play now.

"The only doubt we have for tomorrow's game is Lee who has a slight throat infection but I would hope he is ok to feature in the game."
