Watch Barry's Celtic preview nowBARRY FERGUSON missed nine Old Firm derbies during his time at Blackburn Rovers and the midfielder told Rangers World he can't wait to re-acquaint himself with the fixture at Celtic Park this weekend.

Baz has made two appearances for the Light Blues since returning to Glasgow - he was a late sub in the 7-1 thrashing of Dundee Utd then featured against Hibs last Saturday.

Now the 27-year-old, who last played against Martin O'Neill's side in April 2003, is bracing himself for another pulsating 90 minutes in the East End on Sunday.

He said: "The games against Celtic are something I've really missed. I watched every Barry Ferguson Old Firm match when I was with Blackburn so I'm looking forward to playing in the fixture again.

"It was frustrating not to be a part of it when I was away from the club. I went to a couple of the games at Ibrox and watched the rest on TV.

"These are the games you want to play in. It's the biggest derby in the world as far as I'm concerned with the atmosphere, the build-up and everything else that goes with it.

"I was kicking every ball from my sofa when I wasn't playing. I'm not the best at watching games but it was always great to catch an Old Firm game.

"Now I'm looking forward to facing Celtic again this weekend. I think it's important that we go there and put in a good performance.

Barry's last Old Firm appearance was back in April 2003"We will be going there for the win, certainly.

"If we get a draw it won't be the end of the world but we will be looking to pick up the three points. There's no use going looking for a draw. We have to go there and be positive and look to get the victory."
