Winning The Only Option, Says Dado
By Emma Dodds
Dado Prso believes Rangers can kick start their campaign with victory over Celtic tomorrow - a clash he insists the Light Blues are approaching with confidence.
The players are desperate to get back into action and hopefully banish any lingering thoughts from the disappointing CIS Cup defeat 10 days ago.
The 31-year-old returned from international duty unscathed having played the whole of Croatia's friendly with Portugal on Saturday, but has been wrapped in cotton wool at Murray Park this week to ensure he is in top shape for this crunch SPL clash.
Prso has scored three times against Celtic since moving to Ibrox last summer and came closest to netting at Parkhead on the last visit, hitting the bar late on.
Despite shouldering much of the responsibility up front this term, while consistently performing well for the team, Dado admits he is not happy with his form at the moment.
Helping Gers to a win tomorrow could considerably improve his mood, however, and begin a revival in the league.
He told Rangers World: "It's a great opportunity for us but this time we can't afford to lose the match.
"It's impossible for us to think about that outcome and we will definitely play a different game. We need to turn things in our favour but that is not easy to do.
"Getting a victory at Parkhead would give us a lot of confidence and that would be brilliant to take to Porto.
"We are not contemplating losing this match. We have confidence in our ability and everyone realises that this could be the start of a great run for Rangers.
"We are positive and looking forward to the match."
