RANGERS and Celtic recently held a joint charity can collection at Parkhead prior to the Scottish Cup match to help raise much needed funds for the Tsunami Appeal, and a whopping £19,000 was raised through the joint collection which will now be donated on behalf of the two club's generous fans.

In light of the recent Tsunami disaster that hit South-East Asia very hard and shocked the world, Rangers Football Club has been doing everything it can to help with the global aid being offered to the millions of people affected by this disaster.

Already, Rangers Football Club has announced that a donation of £20,000 will be made to the Disaster Emergency Committee Appeal and thanks to the phenomenal support from Old Firm fans, we can now confirm that a further smashing donation can be made to Fernando scores against Celtichelp so many in such a tragic circumstance.

At last count more than 180,000 people were confirmed to have lost their lives and many more are still missing, while millions have been left homeless by the catastrophe.

Rangers would like to thank our very big-hearted supporters for their generous donations.

The combined efforts of Rangers staff, players and fans has made a significant contribution to the mammoth global relief effort that is taking place to assist these devastated countries and their people.
