PAPAC was the third player to join Rangers from FK Austria at the start of the 2006/07 season, following Libor Sionko and Filip Sebo.
He was discovered by smaller side FC Karnten while playing for Bosnia's under-21 side against Austria.
He said: "While playing against Austria, I obviously impressed the officials from the FC Kärnten. They watched me three more times and then offered me a contract."
In Austria's southern province Sasa was turned into a left-sided defender but can also play as a man-marker.
Unfortunately Karnten were relegated but Papac earned his move his move to Vienna were he flourished as a player and clearly impressed former Gers' assistant boss Yves Colleu when he watched FK Austria in action.
Papac was to make his debut at Easter Road in a 2-1 defeat on September 17 but struggled to cement his place in Paul Le Guen's team.
Walter Smith, however, was to give the Bosnian a chance at left-back at the tail end of the season due to Steven Smith's injury problems and he showed the manager and the Ibrox faithful what he is capable of with several assured and committed displays.
