DANIEL COUSIN became Walter Smith's 10th signing of the summer when he put pen to paper on a three-year deal in August 2007.
The Gabon international began his career with Martigues in France in 1997 before moving on to Niort a year later.
In 2000 he signed for Le Mans for whom he scored 44 goals in 128 appearances. That earned him a move to Lens where his tally was 25 goals in 100 games, despite difficulties in the latter part of his time there.
A tall, powerful striker, Cousin had been linked with moves to Real Betis and Bolton when Rangers snapped him up for around 1.5million Euros.
