LIMASSOL born Georgos Efrem signed scholarship forms with Premiership side Arsenal after a succesful trial period in 2004 at the age of 15.

He went on to become an important member of the Gunners' under-18 side before progressing into their Reserve squad.

Having been unable to push into Arsene Wenger's hugely talented first-team Georgos was delighted to secure a move to Rangers in May 2007 and in his first few months showed his attacking flair for Billy Kirkwood's under-19s and the Reserves.

The Cypriot youth international, who is comfortable playing either centrally or on the wings, was named on the first-team bench on several occasions at the tail end of 2007 and could be set to make his debut in the near future.

His father Andreas was a full Cypriot international and played club football for Apollonas.
